Unfortunately due to a change of rules in the EC system, this clinic can no longer count towards coaching certification hours:

"CHANGES TO ENGLISH COACH UPDATE HOURS:

As many of you already know, Equine Canada requires ALL certified coaches to complete 20 hours of Professional development every 3 years. This has worked GREAT, but is currently on more of an honor system, as the Man power required to keep track of these hours by the Manitoba Horse council office is very numerous. Professional Development is something that Coaches should do on their own in order to keep their ideas fresh.

Effective April 1 2010, NCCP/EC Coaches will be required to attend 1 (one) provincially hosted Professional Development/Update Clinic every 3 years. This will specifically be direct at the Equine Canada Program changes, and Rider Levels. For those of you who have completed your 20 hours as per Equine Canada’s standards by April 1 2010, will not be required to attend a Provincial Update for 3 years."

Trainer & Rider Feedback:

“I know Paula over fifteen years and I can recommend her very warmly. She is a very conscientious rider and the same when she teaches. She is going to the limit with her students and horses (otherwise they would not make any progress), but not over the limit.  She is always trying to teach the riders the classical training of the horse. She has a great fundamental theory. With her teaching ability she tries to bring horse and rider into a harmonious partnership.”  -- Walter Zettl, Clinician and author, “Dressage in Harmony”

“Her riding and teaching skills are top-notch at all levels, and she can deal with various skill levels, and riding levels. In addition, she is great with ground work and driving in hand.”  -- Donna Canfield, FEI  rider.

“I am a far better rider, with a better eye and a much stronger base in theory, as a result of my association with Paula.” – Lynne Flaherty, MD, breeder and amateur rider.
